I visited Gokarna,Karnataka...one of the most beautiful place I have seen in my travelling life of around 17 years. Its a petite two platform station that too where platforms are lower than regular platforms. You can get direct trains from Churchgate, Mumbai central, Dadar, Andheri etc. If you are on any other line get to Dadar or Bandra first. Get down at Borivali the entrance to the park is about a kilometre EAST from the station for which you can take an auto or walk.
